Meet Our Founders

Dr Dumani Kula

The Founders of Kingdom Development Initiative (KDI) are passionate advocates for collaboration and partnership within the Body of Christ. They have over 15 years’ experience of leadership in ministry and have occupied various leadership positions both is South Africa and internationally. Professionally, Dr. Dumani Kula is a qualified medical doctor with an MBA from the University of London and currently serves as Deputy CEO of the Clinix Health Group. Dr. Kula previously served as a senior executive at Discovery Health in Sandton, Johannesburg. Dr. Kula is an author, a sought after motivational speaker, a social entrepreneur and a passionate advocate for leadership development. 

Mrs Nothemba Kula

Mrs. Nothemba Kula holds a Master’s degree in public health from the University of London’s School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and specialized in health services management. Mrs. Kula is currently an independent public health consultant who has provided consulting services for regional and international development agencies such as the SADC secretariat as well the World Bank and the UK Department for International Development (DFID). Mrs Kula is a motivational speaker and mentor and speaks passionately on prayer, relationships and women empowerment. Dr. and Mrs Kula have been married for over 13 years and have 2 children and live in Johannesburg.

The National Coordinating Committee

The KDI National Coordinating Committee o is responsible for coordinating KDI programs in different provinces. Currently the committee comprises of Pastor Violet Mahlangu (Gauteng Coordinator); Dr. Pearl Makhwiting (Limpopo Province Coordinator); Mrs. Brenda Mabuza (Mpumalanga Coordinator); Mrs. Dolly Siwundla ( Eastern Cape Coordinator).

Mr. Martin Kuscus

Mr. Martin Kuscus

Mr. Martin Kuscus was the first MEC of Finance in the North West Province in 1994 and later served as CEO of the South African Bureau of Standards till 2009. He is currently chairperson of two major funds, he is a non – executive director of Netcare and occupies a number of directorships in some leading institutions in South Africa. A gifted communicator with a good sense of humor, Martin speaks locally and abroad in both Christian and secular environments. As a qualified life coach, he also enjoys investing in aspiring entrepreneurs and leaders, especially from disadvantaged backgrounds.  Martin’s mission is to be a thought leader, developing Christian leaders in the market place for Kingdom impact.

Dr Victor Ramathesele

Dr Victor Ramathesele

Dr Victor Ramatheseleis a qualified medical doctor and sports medicine specialist who served as the Chief Medical Officer for the highly successful 2010 FIFA World Cup. He is also Chairman of the South African Institute for Drug Free Sport (SAIDS) and also serves as a special advisor to the South African Department of Health on matters related to the Stop TB Partnership, A Bill Gates Foundation programme. He has held several executive positions in the pharmaceutical and medical technology sectors and currently serves as the Executive Chairperson of Powerdigm Investments and Advisory Services, and Sobantu Health Solutions. In partnership with Izwi Multimedia he conceptualizes, produces and hosts Bonitas House call, a national television health talk-show that has been on air for 10 years.
